On March 18, Microsoft will kick off Convergence 2013 in New Orleans. I always look forward to meeting with customers and hearing about their unique challenges as well as discussing how they can use the latest innovations to create their own business success stories. Convergence is the premier event for the Microsoft Dynamics community, where attendees can make key connections, discover new innovation, and unlock the potential of Dynamics solutions, including those available from Avanade.
Avanade is a proud Gold Sponsor of Convergence and we have a lot planned for the event. You’ll find us in the Avanade booth 430 where we’ll be demoing interesting and innovative offerings in that include mobile solutions for retail and contact center for agent-based customer engagements just to name a few. We’ll also be hosting sessions featuring Avanade customers that have implemented our two-tier ERP approach and global CRM Dynamics solutions. Here are details on those two sessions:

But I’m really looking forward to something that Avanade is adding to the show for our customers for the first time. If you’re an Avanade customer, you will be able to join in a roundtable session and briefing with leading industry analysts from Gartner and Forrester. Nigel Montgomery from Gartner will be talking about broadening the ERP capabilities to more employees in order to speed time to value. And William Band from Forrester will be talking about current CRM trends from enhancing the customer experience to improving efficiency.
It’s an exciting time in this business as new technology trends are converging. Cloud, social, mobile, big data…sorting out what they mean for your business is not for the faint of heart, but Convergence is a great place to see and learn what it all means. Avanade has recently released research on how consumer technology is impacting business and I’ve recently written a post that speaks to this trend and the Avanade vision we are calling “Work Redesigned.” You can take a look at how Avanade is addressing these trends when you check out our demos or visit with our staff at the show. Plus, Convergence is a great place to find out what other companies are doing in response to these trends and hear from Microsoft and other industry experts.
